Peter Tork Dies Age 77

Time and tide indeed waits for nobody. Be that as it may, the inevitable comes to us all. So, this R.I.P. Forum allows us to pay respects to those musicians that will play to an audience in the sky.

Peter Tork Dies Age 77

Tork was the singer and bassist with The Monkees.
He had a rare cancer of the tongue but as yet no official reason for death has been released.
I loved the band which was the clean-cut American answer to The Beatles in the 1960's.
Although nobody could ever rival the fab four at any time at least these lads gave it a good go.
The group had the humour and music as well so its sad to see Tork die at such a young age.
RIP.

The Monkeeys were good in their day and yes they were the American answer to The Beatles.
The only problem there is they were never likely to rival the Fab Four, it was just that America needed a band like this.
I used to love their shows but I haven't seen them in years.
Anyway, all the lads in the band were good in their own way, including Peter Tork.
RIP
