Dublin Unveils Plaque To Commemorate The Beatles Concerts
Apparently The Beatles only played two concerts in Ireland and that was in 1963.
Beatlemania was just the same there as anywhere else on earth.
They appeared at the Adelphi Cinema in Middle Abbey Street.
At that time they sang, I Saw Her Standing There, She Loves You and Twist and Shout as well as a few more over the 25 minutes that they played.
Lord Mayor Nial Ring unveiled the plaque at the rear of Arnotts department store and there was a big crowd to see this.
It may be a little late in the day but its a good gesture from Dublin City Council.
